Day 1   Sunday, July 1 - Depart for Rome

Depart USA on overnight flight to Rome, Italy.  Meals served on board.

Day 2   Monday, July 2 - Ostia Antica and Panoramic City Tour of Rome

Meet your guide and start your tour with a visit to Ostia Antica - a large archaeological site that was the location of the harbor city of ancient Rome.  At the mouth of the River Tiber, Ostia was Rome's seaport, but due to silting the site now lies two miles from the sea.  The site is noted for the excellent preservation of its ancient buildings, magnificent frescoes and impressive mosaics.  You will then enjoy a panoramic tour of The Eternal City ending at our hotel.  After getting settled in, we will then  meet for dinner. Day 3   Tuesday, July 3 - Vatican Museum, St Peter’s Basilica and Concert


Today we visit the Vatican Museums that contain masterpieces of painting, sculpture and other works of art collected by the popes through the centuries.  St. Peter's Basilica is one of the holiest sites in Christendom, standing on the traditional site where Peter - the first pope - was crucified and buried. After dinner, we will attend the “What America Means to Me” concert at the Basilica of Saint Lorenzo in Lucina. Like last year, this very patriotic concert is once again endorsed by the American Embassy in Italy; reinforcing the close ties between the United States and Italy. The repertoire will include  “America,” “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “God Bless America,”  “Va pensiero Sul ali dorate,” and a special rendition of “Liber Tango” and “Carnevale di Venezia” by Cory Pesaturo - a three time world champion and Guinness World record holder. Day 4   Wednesday, July 4 – Rome & Sorrento After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Sorrento. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the City at your leisure.  We will enjoy a romantic dinner with Neapolitan music. We will spend the night at a beautiful hotel in Sorrento. (B|L|D)


Day 5   Thursday, July 5 – Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi

After breakfast at our hotel, spend the morning at your leisure, and lunch on your own.  Later in the afternoon we will depart for beautiful Positano, where we will enjoy a wonderful dinner at the very best local restaurant.  We will end the evening back at our hotel in Sorrento. (B|D)


Day 6   Friday, July 6 - Sorrento and Rome

After breakfast at our hotel, with tears of joy, we board our bus singing ‘Come Back To Sorrento” and depart for Rome. On our way we visit Montecassino Abbey where Benedict of Norcia founded the Benedictine Order. Departure to Rome with dinner in wonderful local restaurant , and overnight at  hotel. (B/D)

Day 7   Saturday, July 7 – Ancient and Baroque Rome Today, a guided tour of the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.  In the afternoon, a guided tour of the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.  Evening concert at the residence of retired general Carlo Felice Corsetti from Arma dei Carabinieri.  The concert will be attended by Monsignor Nazzareno Di Marco, Monsignor Giuseppe Blanda, and guests from the Vatican will attend the concert.  (B)


Day 8   Sunday, July 8 - Castel Gandolfo

Half day guided tour of the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo.  Now a museum, it had served for centuries as a summer residence and vacation retreat for the Pope. Return to Rome for afternoon of leisure and  farewell dinner. (B|L|D)

Day 9   Monday, July 9 - Return Home After breakfast and with tears in our eyes, we all sing Arrivederci Roma. Transfer by motor-coach to the airport in Rome. (B)
